In its first five years, Kenya Carnival/STEP UP has raised more than $130,000 to sponsor 128 secondary students.  These bright, ambitious students overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to succeed in school.  Want to join the fun?  Contact or come to one of the upcoming planning events.

In addition to changing the date of the event to March 1, organizers are encouraging groups of students to create games and activities for Kenya Carnival.  Of course, many inflatables and other favorites will be part of the carnival.

In the past about one third of the Kenya Carnival proceeds are from the actual event. Moving the event to later in the school year allows students and groups to hold fundraisers during the first semester of the school year.  Many creative fundraisers have been suggested for the holidays, including bake sales, babysitting sessions and craft sales.

We are encouraging congregations, school groups, families and groups of friends to consider how many students they can send to school for $350 each.
